Billy was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and began his career at Schiff’s Restaurant Service at the age of 13. He retired from there after 42 years of service. He was always grateful for the friendship and mentorship of Alyn J. Scheatzle and his many treasured friendships with coworkers throughout the years. Billy was always proud of his many accomplishments and practiced an impeccable work ethic. He took a keen interest in others and mentored many employees over the years. He was both a boss and friend. Billy always lent a hand when someone was in need, his generosity had no limits.
Billy never met a person that he did not consider a friend. He was well loved by his family, friends, and the community. He was friendly, kind and compassionate and often known to tell a funny story. He loved his nieces and nephews and took great joy in their lives and accomplishments. He was an avid animal lover and will be missed by his dogs, Beans and Charlie.
