Our beloved, Wendy Beth Olek, 61, of Scranton, passed away unexpectedly on 2-17-23 surrounded by her family. She was preceeded in death by her father, John W. Daquino, and her mother, Elizabeth Williams. Surviving is her "baby boy" Michael Olek Jr., and wife, June, their 2 children, Vitaly Marie and Michael John, stepfather (husband of the late Elizabeth) Anthony Jackowski, sisters, RuthAnn Palmitessa and husband, Michael, Patti Daquino, Debbie D’Aquino, Linda Saniski and husband, Ambrose along with Uncle Robert Williams and wife, Patricia, nieces, nephews, great nieces and cousins. Wendy will be remembered most for her love of her son and his family. Her grandchildren were her world. Those who knew her will remember her passion for the beach and her love for animals. She selflessly dedicated herself to a career in healthcare for over 30 years. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann’s Street, Scranton, PA 18504. A service by Pastor Bill Broadeck will be held in the funeral home at 12:00.
