It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Timothy D. Young, 66 of Wilkes- Barre, PA, who passed away May 21st, 2026, after an illness. Born in Troy, PA he was the son of the late Duane R. Sr. and Mary Jane Minutes Young. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Timothy was known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and love of music. He enjoyed playing guitar and softball. His greatest joy in life was his love for family. Surviving is daughter Maria (Melvin), grandchildren Anahi, Elijah, Noah, Melvin Ill, Melina, Jayson, Angel, Mellinette, son Joshua (Brittany), grandchildren Alexander, Elijah, Lucian, brothers, Johnny, Stanley, and Thomas as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Duane JR., Clifford, Jeanette and Burt. A viewing will be held Saturday, May 30th from 9 AM to 10:30 AM with a service at 10:30 AM in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 Saint Ann's Street Scranton, PA. Interment Cathedral Cemetery with military honors. Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time we had and the memories we created with my dad.
