Thomas (Slouch) Szajkowski

Thomas Szajkowski, 51, of Taylor, died Sunday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. His loving wife of 20 years is Tammy Dranchak Szajkowski. Over the years, he became good friends with customers and coworkers, and cherished their friendships. Known as Slouch to his friends, he was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed talking football with his nephews. He liked playing Mario Kart with his kids, and they would tell you he wasn’t good at it! A member of the Big Buck Rod & Gun Club, Slouch loved his dog, Prince, whom he called Poochie and was with him until the end. He was a loving father, husband, brother to his sister, who he loved to tease, and loved when his nieces came to visit. Also surviving are two children, Gabriella and Emma; sister, Kimberly Szajkowski; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann’s St., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 7:45 p.m.
