Theodore (Teddy or Duval) Miles Jr., 49, died on Friday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart of Dunmore surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of Theodore Miles Sr. and the late Gail Caldwell. He was an amazing chef and worked at many of the area restaurants over the years. Theodore was with his fiancée Cynthia Holmes for 25 years. In addition to his fiancée, he is survived by children, Laqwon, Tymel, Shanyce, Kyra, Mayah, Alyssa (Tyler), all of Scranton, along with three grandchildren, Avery, Jayce and Kai. He is also survived by sister, Shaneke and three nephews, Lateck (Mary), Malek and Jaheim. The family would like to extend thanks to the nursing staff on the sixth floor of Community Medical Center Hospital as well as Hospice of the Sacred Heart of Dunmore. Family and friends will gather at the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home at 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton, Saturday, 3 to 5 for a celebration of life.
