Sarah Brown, 71, of Moosic, died Sunday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Phil and Anna Mae Rubin, she worked for 25 years at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa. She enjoyed fishing, her pets and celebrating Halloween with a party each year. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. Surviving are her daughter, Ann Marie Midgley; grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, Michael Jr., Kristofer and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Elianna and Liam; close friend, Jennifer Pazik and fiancée, John; their children, Hunter and Abbie; and her siblings. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. Friends may call from 4 to 6:45 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann’s St., Scranton.
