Ruth Fuller

 

Ruth Fuller, 90, of Scranton, died Friday at Mountain View Care Center. She was the widow of Walter Fuller. Born in Binghamton, N.Y., daughter of the late George and Esther Fisk Smith, She worked at Triple A Trousers and retired from Mayflower Manufacturing. She enjoyed playing the lottery, bingo, dancing and reading. A caring and devoted mother, sister and grandmother, Ruth loved listening to music, especially the piano, Elton John and Elvis. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving are three daughters, Andrea Lynn Frable, Sandra Jean Miller and Catherine Mary Dibble, all of Scranton; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters, Esther Fortner, Mary June and Faith Sutton; several nieces and nephews; and Matthew John Miller and Christopher Lee Mercadante Jr., who were like her own children. She was preceded in death by two children, Kenneth George Silfee and Michele Lee Gogas; granddaughter, Sierra Hope Cotton; and a brother, George Smith. The family would like to thank Mountain View Care Center for their outstanding care and love shown to Ruth. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at noon in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann’s St., Scranton. Interment, Maple Lake United Methodist Cemetery, Spring Brook Twp.
