Roseann P. Langan

Roseann P. Langan, 64, of Scranton, died Wednesday at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. Her husband and soul mate of 19 years is Edward Langan.Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Joseph and Lucille Walsh O’Malley, she was a member of Divine Mercy Parish and employed by G.R. Noto Electric. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Keystone College and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Scranton. Roseann was a member and former secretary of the Society of Irish Women and loved attending Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders games. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt who enjoyed shopping and traveling.Also surviving are a sister, Lucille Zapotochny, Atlanta; a brother, Charlie O’Malley and wife, Patricia, Olyphant; four nieces, Katie Gnall and Jennifer Barrett, both of Dickson City; Colleen Evans, Olyphant; and Susan Fehr, Atlanta. She also had several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Diane Ciaglia and the doctors and staff at Thomas Jefferson Neuroscience Hospital and Regional Hospital of Scranton for their outstanding care and compassion.The funeral services will be held on Saturday. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon at the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church at Divine Mercy Parish. Interment, St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
