Ronald D. Taylor, 87, of Scranton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 25, 2025. He was born and raised in Scranton, the son of the late Samuel and Margaret Davis Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Gibbons Taylor. He was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School and later employed by Acme as a produce manager and served in the National Guard. He loved watching football, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Mary Louise Schemel (Gary) of Jermyn, son-in-law Jack, of Scranton, a granddaughter Alexis (Justin) of Jermyn; grandson Gary, of Jermyn; grandson Tyler, of Scranton; and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheree Taylor Musky, and his brother, Robert Taylor. A private service will be held in Cathedral Cemetery Chapel on Thursday, May 1st.
