A Care Aide

I would like to send my deepest condolences to the Durkin Family.💙 I had the pleasure of caring for Mr. Durkin, aka Bob, & he was such a kind man who always had a great personality no matter what the circumstances. We'd always expect his offer of a piece of chocolate before we left his room and he'd always ask for one before going to bed. It would be a nightly occurrence where we'd all take a chocolate break before he went to bed & staff left the room. He always put a smile on our faces from the moment you walked in his room to the second you'd walk out. Many times we'd all be laughing when he would try to interact with his Alexa device. Bob was soft spoken & quiet so at time Alexa wouldn't hear him or he'd call out the wrong name, usually it was "Alexis". Bob would keep trying, declining any help & eventually he'd give up & say "I dont understand that thing. I guess she doesn't want to listen tonight". Bob was always softly spoken, he was kind, he worried about others, had a GREAT personality & was so very nice to us workers. He was truly one of a kind & will be missed deeply! 💙
