Richard Drake, 49, of Scranton, died May 5th. His wife is Tracey Kornetka. Born in Scranton, son of Evelyn and Richard Drake Sr., he was a graduate of West Scranton High School and spent 14 loving years with Tracey and her sons, Alex and Christopher Kornetka. He loved cheering for the Yankees, Penn State and the Raiders. Uncle Rick was close with all of his nieces and nephews, and was a proud godfather to his nephew, Shayne Syrylo. Ricky was a great friend to all who knew him. Also surviving are his sister, Lori Syrylo; and brothers, Shawn Smith and Michael Swingle. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alton Swingle; and sisters, Kristen Swingle and Sandy Petinato. A celebration of life will be held Thursday from 9-11am in the Thomas J Hughes FH Inc, 1240 St. Ann's St, Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
