Born on September 12, 1976 in Scranton. Passed away May 31, 2025 surrounded by family. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Ray was the kindest, loving, and caring man you could ever meet. His kind heart and generosity were two of many qualities everyone who was blessed to know him loved and admire about him. The way he knew how to turn any event into a fun going party showed just exactly why he was the “life of the party”. Ray enjoyed family gatherings, seeing everyone together and the kids happy always put a smile on his face. Being a dad was everything to him, and spending time with his kids meant the world to him. He loved his family tremendously. He is survived by his 5 children Mable, Madalyn, Raymond III, Jacob, and Shawn Werner all of Scranton. Parents Raymond and April Werner of Scranton. Barbara Sutton of Dallas PA. Sisters, Barb Christiano, Chrissy Crowell, Elizabeth Gray, Carrie Higgins, Melissa Burks, Cheyanne Gray and Stacy “Smitty” Smith. Brothers, Steve Werner, Kevin Werner, Greg Werner. Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is proceeded in death by his son Jerry Garcia Werner, Sister Nicole Wells, brother-in-law Chris Christiano, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
