Rayfon (Ray) Michael Anthony Chandler was born on September 20, 1974, in Paterson, NJ to Phyllis Chandler and Phillip Thomas. He attended Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ, and later attended Passaic County Technical/Vocational HS in Wayne, NJ. Later in life, Rayfon moved to Scranton, PA, and then to Tamaqua, PA. He worked in the food service industry and the custodial service industry. He leaves behind his wife, Anita Van Orden-Chandler, father, Phillip Thomas, son, Nahmir Chandler, step-children, Najasha, Alexandria, Ariana, and Donelle, a grand-child, Skylar Isabella, siblings Fantasia Chandler, Sonora Boone, Ariel Thomas, and Noah Francis, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends. A viewing will be held Saturday, March 23rd, from 8 am to 9 am with a service at 9 am in the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, Inc., 1401 Capouse Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509, immediately followed by a burial at Dunmore Cemetary, 400 Church St., Dunmore PA. (entrance at the corner of Warren and Church St.)
