Peter Chick, 78, of Roaring Brook Twp., died Sunday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. His wife of 51 years is Danielle Torba Chick. Born in Newark, N.J., son of the late Peter and Katherine Pisarchick Chick, he was a graduate of St. Ann’s High School, Johnson Technical School, Keystone College and Millersville University. Prior to retirement, he was an industrial arts teacher. A member of the United States Army Reserves, Peter enjoyed drag racing, classic cars and watching classic movies, football and wrestling. He was a beloved husband and father who will be deeply missed. Surviving are his three children, Peter Chick, South Abington Twp.; David Chick, Throop; and Justine Sagan and husband, Gary, Dallas; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sheakoski and husband, Robert; and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Geisinger CMC for their compassionate care in his final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 1 p.m. in St. Ann’s Basilica, Scranton. Interment, St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call at the church starting at noon.
