Paul J. Brzostowski

Paul J. Brzostowski, 71, of Scranton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Lane, who passed away exactly fifteen years earlier to the day; a testament to their enduring bond. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Paul was the son of the late Adam and Blanche Brzostowski. A devoted member of St. Paul’s Church, Paul dedicated much of his life to service as the beloved custodian at St. Paul’s School, where his gentle spirit and caring nature touched countless lives. Paul will be remembered as a kind and compassionate soul, deeply committed to his family, his pets, and charitable causes. His creativity was boundless: from music in his youth to pencil sketches, painting, and the intricate dioramas he built with model trains, cars, and miniature worlds. His artistry was matched by his craftsmanship; Paul had a gift for fixing and building, which blossomed into a lifelong passion for restoring classic cars and hot rods. Paul is survived by his family: Lynette Keeley and her husband Scott, his cherished grandchildren Angelina and Brian, and his seven great-grandchildren Lyla, Draven, Bruce, Benjamin, Blane, Parker and Hunter and his stepson Ronald Laino and his partner Kim. He is also survived by his brothers Joseph and his partner Melanie, and Arthur and his wife Patricia; as well as his beloved nieces and nephews Frankie and Danielle, Beth, Antonio, Pascal, and Chaerin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, Penn Avenue, Scranton. Arrangements are under the care of McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, Inc.
