Patrick Langan, 60, of Scranton, died Monday at home. Born in Scranton, son of the late Russell Langan, Sr. and Annette Comparetta Langan, he was a graduate of West Scranton High School and a United States Navy veteran as an underwater welder. Later he welded fire engine frames at a manufacturing company, and was a hospital orderly. Surviving are his brother, Russell Langan Jr. and wife, Susan Langan, New Jersey; aunt, Carmella Gress and husband, James Gress, Pennsylvania; his uncle, Anthony Comparetta and wife, Cheryl Comparetta, Florida; he was uncle to Joni Nolan and husband, Ryan, and their children, New Jersey; and many Gress and Comparetta cousins in Pennsylvania and New York. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Josephine and Carmen Comparetta; uncle, Guy Comparetta; and aunt, Felicia McDonald.
