Patricia “Patsy” Flannelly

Patricia "Patsy" Flannelly, 88, of Minooka, Scranton, sadly passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday. She was the widow of James R. Flannelly.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Corbett and Ann McPeak Corbett, she was a graduate of South Catholic High School and employed by CMC Hospital until retirement. Patsy was a loving and wonderful mother. Her passion was her family and caring for her dog, Bella. She enjoyed many hobbies such as reading, taking Bella for a walk and making her annual ham and cabbage dinner after the Scranton St. Patrick's Day Parade. She cherished her four children, James, Donald, Michael and Elaine.
Surviving are her two sons, Michael and wife, Betty Ann, Avoca; and Donald, Exeter; daughter, Elaine Hinkley and husband, Jesse, Covington Twp.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Mary Pat Flannelly, Moosic.
She was preceded in death by her son, James P. Flannelly; grandson, Thomas Joseph Flannelly; brother, Thomas Corbett; and sister, Nancy Wahl.
The Flannelly family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff on the fourth floor of the CMC Hospital for their outstanding care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish, Davis St. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 3 to 6 p.m., at the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton.
