Octavia Williams

 

Octavia Williams, 48, of Dunmore, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 9. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Woodrow Williams Jr. and Maggie McRae. She graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School and worked as a CNA who enjoyed helping others. She was a loving mother to her children and spent most of her time helping family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Atoekia L. Fountain, in heaven; and her loving nephew, Eugene Jordan, whom she will be lying next to holding his hands. She is survived by three daughters, Jahniah, Kelis and Kaylah Laborde; two sons, Jansian Laborde and Jahqual Jordan; sisters, Downgia Jordan, Tieesha Williams, Tiffany Williams, Crystal Jordan; brothers, Jason and Charles Jordan. She will be leaving behind a host of nieces and nephews and well as four grandchildren. The viewing will be Monday from 10:30 a.m. to noon with a service at noon in the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton, Pa. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
