January 29, 1986 to November 9, 2023

Nicole Anne Haddix, 37, of West Scranton, passed away peacefully Thursday at home surrounded by friends and family. Despite her stage IV colon cancer diagnosis, she fought every second of the last five years with a tenacious spirit that inspired everyone who witnessed it.
Born Jan. 29, 1986, to James and Anne Haddix, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School and Allied Medical and Technical School, and employed by Century Dental.
Nicole loved anything Penn State, trips to the beach and quality time with her girls. She was a proud aunt and loved spoiling her nephews and her friends’ kids every chance she had. She was always one of the first ones to reach out, and never missed an important event for the people she loved.
Nicole will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, her unconditional love for her family and friends, and her ability to find the humor in any situation. She has left her loved ones with memories of some of the hardest laughs they have ever had, and will be at the center of countless stories they will be retelling for the rest of their lives.
In addition to her parents, Nicole is survived by her grandmother, Norma Yeager, Scranton; brother, Jimmy Haddix, his partner, Maria Savinelli, and nephews, James and Lukas, Clarks Summit; aunts, uncles, cousins; and her tribe of sisters, Lindsay Hirschler, Molly McAuliffe, Charlene Connor, Mallory Coyne, Lacey Seliga, Crystal DeAntona, Megan Morgan, Andrea Rosar and Kearea Hogan.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Yeager; and her paternal grandparents, James and Florence Haddix.
A Mass of Christian Burial for family and friends will be held Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Church at 10 a.m. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann’s St., Scranton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SpreadJoy or Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
