Nicola Lanese, 81, of Pittston, died Tuesday at Highland Manor. His wife is Rhoda Reid Lanese.
Born in Italy, son of the late Angelo and Elisa Metri Lanese, he immigrated to Argentina after WWII, where his father opened a bakery and he worked as a young boy. Later in life, he achieved his two proudest moments--marrying the love of his life, Rhoda, and becoming a US citizen.
Also surviving are his son, Andres; sister, Angelina; nephew, Arturo; and niece, Claudia Luna and husband Enrique, all of Argentina; and other extended family in Argentina and Italy.
