Myron was a 1971 graduate of Riverside High School and star athlete. He held various positions at production facilities prior to working at Supermarket Services in Dunmore as a fork lift operator for over 25 years until retirement.
Myron was the loving husband of Marie Tigue Pietryka. The couple celebrated 45 years of marriage in November. As a couple they enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and traveled often to visit friends and family. Myron appreciated his wife’s cooking and loved the opportunity to plan family dinners.
He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Melissa and fiancé, Ben Lorenzetti. Melissa blessed him with two wonderful grandchildren, Jaden and Sophia. His role as “Gramps” was his most cherished. He attended football and basketball games for Jaden, and enjoyed track meets and cheering for Sophia. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with them and share the wonderful memories. He was so proud of their achievements.
Myron was an avid baseball player and a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. He took many trips to Fenway Park to see his favorite team. He also loved animals and his many pets over the years.
