Muriel Patricia Callaghan, age 69, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 24, 2026. Born on January 11, 1957, in Clarendon, Jamaica, Muriel lived a life filled with love, strength, kindness, and devotion to her family. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Muriel is survived by her loving children: Nadine James; Ivanhoe Morrison and his wife, Tiffaney Morrison; Rolando Morrison and his wife, Shanica DyerMorrison; and Ketasha Morrison-Burnett and her husband, Winston Burnett. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, aunt, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. Muriel will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering support for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her wisdom, strength, and compassion were gifts to all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and family will continue through the generations she leaves behind. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Muriel’s life at a Wake Service on July 6, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Thomas Hughes Funeral Home. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support, prayers, and comfort during this difficult time.
