Michael Walsh

Michael Walsh, 38, Scranton, passed away Wednesday, April 9th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Wharton Walsh. He is survived by his sister, Melody Barnett, Scranton. Known for his big heart, quiet strength, and sense of humor, Michael brought joy to those lucky enough to know him. Michael cherished time with his family above all else. Whether it was sharing a meal, a laugh, or simply being together, those moments meant everything to him. A lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Michael rarely missed a game, cheering on his team with unmatched passion. He was an avid reader, a movie buff, and loved immersing himself in the world of PlayStation video games. A true fan of superheroes, Batman held a special place in his heart—his symbol of courage, justice, and resilience. Michael had a deep love for the holiday season, and Christmas was his favorite time of year. From the twinkling lights to the spirit of giving, he embraced the magic of the holidays and spread that joy to everyone around him. Michael’s warmth, interests, and love for life will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Arrangements by McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, Inc.
