
Mary F. McCormack, 92, of Scranton died Thursday at Marywood Heights. She was the widow of Robert McCormack, who passed away in 2020.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Mary Romano Lamotta.
Mary's joy in life was family and she loved having family dinners for all holidays, especially Christmas. Her blueberry coffee cake was a family favorite.
In recent years, she loved playing bingo with her friends at Webster Towers and going out to lunch with cousins. She was a faithful member of St. Ann's Basilica, where she volunteered for many years.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be deeply missed.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Heisler and husband Mark, Scranton; son, Robert McCormack, Moosic; five grandsons, Mark Heisler and wife Nina, Plains; Matthew Heisler and wife Shannon, Warminster; Michael Heisler and wife Sarah, Savannah Ga.; Adam McCormack and wife Lauren, Clarks Summit; and Sean McCormack and wife Maggie, Throop; eight great-grandchildren, Jack and Margaret Heisler, and Connor, Claire, Lucy, Vivian, Quinn and Cooper McCormack; brother, Anthony LaMotta and wife Shirley; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph LaMotta; and a daughter-in-law, Michelle McCormack.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at noon in St. Ann's Basilica, Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
