Marion (Molly) Edmondson, 87, of Scranton, died Friday at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edmondson. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna Voyack Spindler. She is survived by her children, Maribeth Edmondson Valvano, Butch Edmondson and wife Maureen, and Lorilinn Edmondson O'Boyle. She was very proud of her six grandchildren, Danielle Wall-Perrins, Dr. Amanda Valvano Gambale, Dr. Gary Valvano, Katie Fletcher, John O' Boyle and Leo O' Boyle. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and employed by the Scranton School District until her retirement. She enjoyed her family, gardening, baking, attending novenas, watching sports and especially watching her grandson Leo playing basketball. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica. Arrangements are by Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton. Donations in her name can be made to St. Ann's Basilica. She will be deeply missed by her family. Heaven has gained another angel.
