Marilyn Christine Iiams

Marilyn Christine Iiams, age 72, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026. Born on January 26, 1954, Marilyn lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, devotion, and deep love. Marilyn dedicated her life to caring for others. She loved taking care of her patients. Being a caregiver was not just her career but her calling. She showed up every day with strength, skill, and an unwavering commitment to those who depended on her. She was strong-willed and tough, a woman who stood her ground, worked hard, and never backed down from doing what was right. Above all, Marilyn was a devoted and loving grandmother to her five treasured grandchildren: Parker, Grayson, Sophia, Mikey, and Julian. Being “Grammy” was her greatest joy and proudest role. She cherished every laugh, every story, and every hug. Her love for them was powerful, protective, and unconditional. Marilyn found happiness in life’s simple and beautiful gifts. She delighted in watching hummingbirds dance through the air and feeding the deer that visited her backyard. She loved visiting farm stands, surrounding herself with fresh flowers, and embracing her favorite color, blue, a reflection of her deep love for the ocean. The sea brought her peace. Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Helen Strucko; her cherished son, Charles Nathan Reina JR; her husband, Kenneth D. Iiams; and her sister, Joanne Bennie. Though she endured deep loss in her lifetime, she carried herself with remarkable strength and grace. She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Joseph Strucko and Jeanne (Ken) Rosencrance; her children, Christian (Sasha) Reina, Gabrielle (Thomas) Goodman, and Julia Reina; her daughter-in-law Sandra Reina; her five cherished grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her tenacious spirit, determined strength, and the deep love she gave so freely. Marilyn’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched, in the lessons she taught, and in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her love remains strong as the tide, steady as the ocean, and beautiful as a hummingbird in flight. Servies will be held on March 6th, 2026, at the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Homes from 4pm-6pm. Please wear blue as it was her favorite color!
