Marilou Hill Radocesky

 

Marilou Hill Radocesky, 71, of Scranton, died Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Her husband is John Radocesky. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Robert and Jane Shea Hill, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School and a devoted member of St. Ann's Basilica and its Novena. Marilou loved traveling on cruises and yearly vacations to Ocean City, Md. She also enjoyed going for breakfast at Neen's Restaurant and meeting her friends for weekly dinners. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Also surviving are her daughter, Jill Schultz and husband, Michael; son, John Radocesky and fiancée, Amie Kellogg; grandchildren, Isabella and Mia Summa, and Maxwell Radocesky; brothers, Bobby Hill and wife, Joanne; John Hill and wife, Betsy; and Tom Hill and wife, Amy; sister, Nancy Burke; sister-in-law, Marie Peperno; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Hill; and brothers-in-law, Kevin Burke and James Peperno. Thank you to the palliative doctors and EMU Unit at Geisinger CMC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St.

Marilou and I worked together in the 1970's at Bell Telephone Company. We had a lot of fun times back then and she and I were close friends and co-workers. May she rest in Eternal Peace. Condolences to John and her family.
