Marietta Pakutka, 85, of Scranton, passed away at home on Tuesday, 8-25-26 after an illness. Married in 1961, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William J. Pakutka, formerly of Duryea, who passed away on 4-13-2020.
She is survived by one daughter, Mariann Salerno and one son, Vincent Pakutka of Scranton.
Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of James C. and Marie M. Salerno. James was the sole proprietor of The Century Printing Company, Scranton, where he also employed his son-in-law, William.
A Christian mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Basilica parish on 9-8-2026 at 10:00 am.
