
Marie T. Moore passed away on December 11, 2025. Born in Scranton, she was the eldest daughter of the late John and Irene Best Cawley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Moore; her brother, Michael; and her sisters, Joan and Bernadette; as well as her grandson, Kyle McBride.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Moore (Maureen), and her grandchildren, McKenzie Luciano (Justin), her great-grandchild, Luca Luciano, and Kiana; and her daughter, Sharon Moore McBride (Francis), and grandchildren, Stephanie Ash (Rob), Joseph (Jacqueline), and Sean (Brittney), and Allison. She is also survived by her brothers, John Cawley (Laurie), of Connecticut, and Paul Cawley, of South Carolina.
Marie was a graduate of South Catholic High School. She was employed by Hygrade Pants in Taylor, PA, and later retired from McDonald’s in Clarks Summit.
Marie was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also cherished spending time with her furry great-grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo and Po-Ke-No, baking, and reading. A mass of Christian burial will be held in Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William Street, Scranton, PA 18508 on January 13, 2026 at 10:00am.
