Maria Evans, 78, of Scranton, died Saturday at Geisinger CMC. She was the widow of William Evans Jr, who passed away in 2017.
Born in Red Bank, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Maria Drowns.
Surviving are 3 sons, William C. Evans III, CO; Brian Evans, Kunkletown; 3 grandchildren, Sarah, Tyler, and Joshua; sister, Carolyn Buck; 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Caramanno and husband Richard; and Diane Hughes and husband Robert; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at noon in the McGoff-Hughes FH Inc, 1401 Capouse Ave, Scranton. Friends may call starting at 10am.
