
Marguerite T. Coyle, age 71, died on Friday, June 20, 2025 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She
was the widow of Edward (Ned) Coyle Jr. who suddenly passed in 2016. Marguerite was born in Scranton on October,
31st, 1953. She was a graduate of South Scranton Central Catholic High School and a life-long resident of the Minooka section of Scranton. Marguerite was a faithful member of Divine Mercy Parish where she attended daily mass, and she was a reliable volunteer for parish functions as well as numerous committees. She loved all the people of Minooka and they all loved her back. Marguerite worked for Emery Air Freight and UPS for over 40 years before her retirement. Afterwards she worked part time for Pine Hills country club, devoted a lot of time to her community and parish. Marguerite had a great love for her son Michael, her brother Michael Wallace and wife Sharron, as well as all of her many great friends, especially the ones she made from the Barrier Breakers running group. Marguerite was the perfect example of a life well lived. She was generous, kind, and steady hand in all of lifes moments for everyone she touched in this life. She provided an emotional and compassionate shelter for all who needed her. Marguerite is survived by her son Michael, brother Michael Wallace and his wife Sharron. She had a special affection for Jamie Coyle (nephew) and spouse Katherine. Kelly Harrison (niece) and spouse Terry. Brian Agosti (Nephew) and spouse Bridget. Michael Coyle (brother-in-law) and spouse Kate. Tom Coyle (brother-in-law) and spouse Omar. Mari White (sister-in-law) and Bob. Special cousins Maureen Agosti and Daniel OConnor, as well as numerous great nephews
and a great niece. She is now happy to be reunited with the love of her life Ned. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Friday June 27, 2025 by Reverend Paul McDonnell OSJ at Divine Mercy Parish located at 312 Davis St. in the Minooka section of Scranton. Friends may call Thursday from 4pm-7pm at Eagan Hughes Funeral
Home, 2908 Birney Avenue in Scranton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Divine Mercy Parish for the care of St. Joseph's Cemetery and restoration committee.
