Margaret (Peggy) Forster died Tuesday at Allied Skilled Nursing Center.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John B. and Elizabeth Herling Forster, she was a graduate of West Scranton Catholic High School. She was employed by Commercial Credit Association and Haband Company before her retirement.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Rainey and husband, Robert, Throop.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joseph, and a brother, William, in 2001; and a sister, Mary Kathleen, in 2014.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Allied Skilled Nursing Center and a special thank you to the cousins and friends who visited her during her illness. May God bless each and every one of you.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram St., Scranton. Friends may call at the church from 9 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, 1403 Jackson St., Scranton, PA.
