Lori Ann Iacavazzi

October 6, 1971 to December 6, 2022

Lori Ann Iacavazzi, 51, of the Tripp Park section of Scranton, passed away peacefully Dec. 6 after a valiant two year battle with metastatic colon cancer. She was born and raised in Scranton, and was the daughter of Diane Fahey Tucker and the late Francis “Brud” Fahey. Lori was a member of St. Ann’s Basilica, Scranton. She was a 1989 graduate of Bishop Hannan High School and attended Penn State University. Prior to her illness, she was employed at Valley View School District in the business office. Lori loved cooking, baking and working in her beautiful garden, alongside her faithful companions, (her Shih-Tzus) Hercules and Peewee, who will forever be by her side. Before her illness, Lori loved to entertain, especially for the holidays. Her beautiful dinners and scrumptious cookies will be missed. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all whom she cherished, especially those in her close knit circle. In addition to her mother, Diane, and her stepfather, Joe Tucker, she is survived by her husband and best friend, Peter III; brother, Brian Fahey (Mary Clare); stepsister, Lori Winkler (Jamie); niece, Katie Fahey; nephews, Jack Fahey, Christopher Kaushas, James Winkler; along with aunts, uncles and cousins. Thank you to all of our family and friends who have reached out to us with their support, cards, fundraisers and prayers. We are forever grateful. The family would especially like to thank the wonderful skilled nurses and staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore who made her comfortable right up until the end. They would also like to thank the Geisinger staff, especially Dr. Timothy Farrell and nurse Karen, for their excellent care and compassion. They would also like to thank Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center in Basking Ridge, N.J., for their exceptional knowledge, compassion and care, especially Dr. Rao and her team. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1604 Oram St., Scranton, Pa, 18504. Interment will take place following the Mass at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
