Lisa Breault, 64, of Roaring Brook Twp, passed away Saturday, 3-8-2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband of 42 years is William Breault.
Born May 5, 1960, in New Jersey, Lisa Symes was the daughter of Barbara Backman Symes and the late Bruce Symes. A graduate of Montclair State College Class of '82, she dedicated her career to inspiring young athletes as the beloved field hockey coach at Wayne Hills High School. Her passion for the sport and commitment to her students created a lasting legacy that extends far beyond the playing field.
Lisa found joy in life's simple pleasures--planting flowers, decorating for every holiday and cherishing time with her grandchildren. An avid golfer and bird watcher, she also enjoyed shopping expeditions with family and friends. Her exceptional kindness, warmth, enthusiasm and genuine care for others touched everyone who knew her. Lisa's remarkable generosity of spirit and compassionate nature made her a source of comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Filer and husband, Eric; William Breault Jr and wife, Shayla; grandchildren, Thomas, McKenzie, Madison, Aiden, Ethan, Gracie, Noah, Anita and Anastasia. Lisa's memory will live on through the countless students, colleagues, friends and community members whose lives she enriched with her guidance and friendship.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Scranton, an organization that provided compassionate care during Lisa's final journey.
Arrangements by Thomas J Hughes FH Inc, 1240 St. Ann St, Scranton.
