Kathy R. Borgia

 

Kathy R. Borgia, 69 of Scranton, passed away Tuesday, November 4th at home surrounded by her family. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late George and Helen Chilipko Moss. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Anthony (Tony) M. Borgia, one stepson, Frank Margotta and wife Melissa, one stepdaughter, Jill White and husband Matt and six grandchildren. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, class of 73. She worked for The Jermyn Restaurant for many years. She also worked in the Scranton Municipal Golf Course restaurant for 18 years and at Willard School. She was known as Miss Kathy by the students and her greatest attributes were the love for her students and faculty at the school. Surviving are five sisters, Audrey Gavronski and husband Ron, Marie Butash, Dolly Cunningham, Marlene Piazza and husband Bill, and Lenore Keeller and husband Tom. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Flo Moss and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ron Moss and his wife Rose, George Moss Jr. and Jackie Moss. She was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-laws, Jerry Butash, and Vince Cunningham and a nephew, Eric Cunningham. A committal service will be held in The Cathedral Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, November 11th at 12 pm.
