
Judith Barako, 77, of Dickson City, died Tuesday at Regional Hospital.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Leroy and Mildred Morris Zimmerman, she graduated from Scranton Tech High School and retired from St. Joseph’s Center in Scranton. Judy was compassionate and dedicated to the children of St. Joseph’s and treated them like one of her own.
Surviving are her children Lisa Rovinsky (Joe, Joseph, and Stephen) Dickson City, Frank Rasimovich (Ellen, Jacob, Connor, and Bridget) Scranton, Carole Damski (Adam, Cameron, Lauren, and Liv) Archbald, Jennifer Barako and Alex Rhode Island, and Christopher and Zachary Swenski. Her children would like to thank Terry and Gerry Yushinsky for their forever friendship and love to their Mother and entire family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Sherry Swenski, Frank Rasimovich, and beloved Bella.
Judy will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a Championship bowler, loved gardening, music, and movies. She was always known for asking for a “fresh” cup of coffee wherever she went.
Services are private at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements by Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave, Scranton.
