Joseph Lisiewski

 

Joseph Lisiewski, 75 of Scranton, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Regional Hospital of Scranton after an illness. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Stanley and Angela Zawalski Lisiewski. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish and worked at Affiliated Foods until its closing. After their closing, he was employed by the Scranton Times newspaper. He is survived by a companion, Carol Fedor, one brother, Stanley Lisiewski, Clarksville, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Lisiewski. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Paul A. McDonnell O.S.J. pastor on Tuesday, November 18th at 10am in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street, Scranton. Friends may call Monday, November 17th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Avenue, Scranton. Interment Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Township, Pa.

Sorry for your loss, Uz was like a big brother to all of us in minerhill growing. He is one of the best person I’ve met in my 70 years. He was be sadly missed. I’m glad that I got to talk with him recently on the phone, we talked for about two hours. 🙏 May God rest his soul. He was loved by all who knew him. I was honored by being his friend. God bless
