John Paul Yotautas

 

John Paul Yotautas, 76, of Scranton, passed away Monday afternoon at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Born and educated in Scranton, he was the son of the late Algerd and Ann Dunda Yotautas. John served our country in the United States Air Force and spent much of the past year as a resident of the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center, where he received wonderful care. Prior to retirement, he worked as a tile and flooring installer, produce manager and bartender. He loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, and enjoyed sports, attending several Super Bowls. He also loved taking trips to the casino. John had many friends around the North Scranton area and was always ready with a joke or a laugh and always had a twinkle in his eye. He especially loved his pet alley cat, Kitty. He is survived by his aunt, Marion Coyer; and many beloved cousins. A blessing service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Dunmore. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
