John O'Shea

 

John O’Shea, 77 of Scranton passed away on May 1, 2026 at home. Born in Scranton, son of the late John O’Shea and Genevieve(Joyce)Gassmann. He was a graduate of St Patrick’s High School and served in the U.S. Army. John retired from the Scranton Police Department and Montage Mountain Security. He is survived by his wife, Jane Petrosky O’Shea, son Fred, grandchildren Nevaeh and John, sister-in-law Mary Richardson, brothers-in-law John Petrosky and wife Cheryl, Neil Petrosky and wife Angelia, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Compassionate Care. Memorial contributions in John’s name to St. Ann’s Basilica, Scranton,Pa. Services were private through the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann’s Street, Scranton, PA.
