
John “Butch” Yesavage, 74, of Scranton, died Thursday at Regional Hospital of Scranton. His wife, Ann Marie, died Dec. 14, 2008.
Born in Scranton, son of the late John and Delores Yesavage, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Schott Glass.
John took great pride in his grandchildren. He enjoyed attending his grandsons’ countless sporting events and talking about history and current events with his granddaughter.
Surviving are two daughters, Amy Sweder and husband, Joe, Jermyn; and Keri Yesavage and fiancé, Matt, Madison Twp.; and four grandchildren, Faith, Collin, Joshua and Kenny; and sister, Carol Yesavage, Scranton.
Services will be private. Arrangements by McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton.
