Jacqueline DeSando (Jackie D), 67, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 2. She was born June 19, 1958 in Scranton to the late Anthony DeSando and Ida Mae Muir, Corrine Pregmon DeSando, She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ed Barlow in 2009. Jackie spent most of her career in nursing, until she found her true passion in the service industry as a cook and bartender. In recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and close friends. Jackie will always be remembered for her giant heart and infectious smile. She brought so much joy to whomever was in her presence. Surviving are her three children Charles Wall, Anthony DeSando and Ida Mae Chantry, grandchildren Jack Chantry, Giselle and Brayden DeSando, sister Marcy Crass brother-in-law Paul Brown, along with several nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Rose Mary and Francine DeSando and Antoinette Nowalk. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 5 to 7 in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann's Street, Scranton, PA 18504.
