In Loving Memory of Ira R. Haines. Ira R. Haines, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family. Ira was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud United States Marine. He shared 67 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol. He was also an avid bowler who enjoyed the sport throughout his life. He coached Miss E softball for several years and enjoyed every minute of it. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the love he gave to his family. Ira was predeceased by his father, Ira Haines; his mother, Elizabeth Haines; and his sister, Betty Kellogg. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Haines; his three daughters, Carol Greene, Audrey Callahan, and Diane Sniegowski; and his seven grandchildren, Caitlin Callahan, Bianca Greene, Rachel Pongia, Alex Greene, Nicholas Callahan, Jason Sniegowski, and Madison Callahan. Ira’s greatest legacy is the family he loved so deeply. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Services are private at the convenience of the family.
