Hubert “Hughie” Sentivan

 

Hubert “Hughie” Sentivan, 69, of the Minooka section of Scranton, died Sunday at Dunmore Health Care Center. His wife is Patricia White Sentivan. Born in Scranton, son of the late John and Mary Hart Sentivan, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and Johnson College. Prior to retirement, he was employed by the University of Scranton as an electrician. Hughie enjoyed golfing, bowling, photography and trips to the casino with his wife. He was a loving husband, brother and friend who will be deeply missed. Also surviving are two stepsons, Edmund Piasecki Jr. and wife, Kim; Michael Piasecki and wife, Suzanne; nine grandchildren, Edmund, Shailin, Brennah, Courtney, Michael and wife Ashley, Stephen, Samantha, Adam and Grace; seven great-grandchildren, Riley, Michael, Aliviah, Sadie, Liam, Colt and Beau; sister, Nancy Cipriano and husband, Tony; two nieces, Nadine and April; and nephew, John. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Eillish; and brother, John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish, Davis Street, Scranton, by Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton.
