Giuseppe Cusati

Giuseppe Cusati, 90, the widow of late Italia Cusati, of Old Forge, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 14th, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband of Italia, with whom he shared 62 years of love and marriage. Born in Salerno, Italy, Giuseppe was the son of the late Michael and Antonia Rivello Cusati. He was a proud Italian immigrant who built a beautiful life for his family in Old Forge. Giuseppe was a well-known painter in the area, admired for both his talent and work ethic. His greatest joys came from spending time in his garden and sharing laughter and stories with his family and friends. Surviving are his two daughters, Silvia Cusati and husband Marcelino Bilbao, both of Old Forge; and Maria Cusati and husband Eduardo Ruiz, Marco Island, FL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Dahiana, Brianna and husband Josue Dominguez, Sebastian, Bryan and wife Alyvia Bilbao, Nicholas and wife Camille, Lily, and Santiago. Along with Giuseppe’s great-grandchildren, Fisher and Bryan Jr. At the request of Giuseppe’s family, the funeral will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Avenue, Scranton.

Dearest Bella Maria, Eddie and all the wonderful Cusati family. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved Dad. I know how much you all loved him and he loved you all even more. He is at peace now and back with his bride - so happy together again! Hopefully, picturing them together will bring you all peace.
