Francisco Rodriguez, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 4th surrounded by his family after an illness. Born in San Isidro El Rosario, Honduras, on March 9, 1936, Francisco operated a farm before immigrating to the United States in 1994. Francisco was known by his family and friends as a loving husband, father and a gentle, compassionate man with a unique sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melida Stenson, in 2006, his wife, Fidelia Martinez Rodriguez in 2007, and his granddaughter Noraly Amaya in 2022. Surviving are four daughters, Vilma, Josefa, Reyna, and Ada; and five sons, Antonio, Manuel, Jose, Marvin and Nelson Rodriguez. Francisco is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Friends may call Friday, May 8th from 10am to 10:30am in the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home, 1401 Capouse Ave, Scranton, PA 18509, with Mass at 11am in St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 1217 Prospect Ave., Scranton, to be celebrated by Fr. Jaime Perez. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, May 7th from 6pm to 8pm in the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
