Filomina "Phyllis" (San Giovanni) Engle, 82, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 29, 1944, she was known for her kindness, warmth, and deep devotion to her family. She is survived by her children, William Engle and his wife, Alison; Michele Engle and her partner, Brian; and Victoria Engle. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Kolyn and Bentley Drutarousky and Tyler Engle; her great-granddaughter, Layla Engle; and her brother, Ralph San Giovanni. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Engle, and her sister, Clo Pado. Phyllis will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory. Arrangements by Davies and Jones Funeral Chapel.
