Elizabeth L. “Betty” Yerrick, of Scranton, passed away Thursday at Allied Hospice. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Yerrick. Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte Piontkowski Roberts. Elizabeth was a loving mother and devoted grandmother, lovingly known as Nana. She treasured raising her six beautiful daughters and cherished every moment spent with her many grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Angella Jones and husband, Jason, Wyomissing; Tammy Hopkins and husband, Luke, Ellsworth, Maine; Marissa Werner and husband, Charles, Duryea; Melanie Shepard and husband, Joshua, Eynon; Charlotte Yerrick and fiancé, Jonathan Cadden, Scranton; and Stacey McCormack and husband, Joseph, Waverly. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren: Justin Yerrick and David Luke Hopkins; Alexa and Carson Jones; Gavin, Christian, and Kaissen Werner; Jocelyn and Landon Shepard; Hailey Yerrick and Colton, Makailyn, and Avery Cadden; Jake, Joseph, Claira, and Jaxson McCormack. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Roberts, Duryea; brother-in-law, Mike Luks, Pittston; sisters-in-law, Ann Marie Roberts, Pittston; Suzanne Serino, Pittston; and Helen Crispino and husband, Leo, Dalton; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Stanley, David, and John Roberts; and her sisters, Charlotte, Diane, Margaret Roberts, Susan Luks, and Audrey Yager. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Arrangements are by Eagen-Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Ave., Scranton.
