Eleanor Kasper, 81, of Scranton and formerly of Factoryville, died Saturday at home. She was the widow of Gene Kasper. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Rose Gerdine Skiba, she was a 1959 graduate of West Scranton High School and worked for 20 years at Bridgewater-Raritan School District. Eleanor enjoyed gardening and going out with her friends, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her son, David Kasper, Point Pleasant, N.J.; three grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah and Rachael; two sisters, Mary Ann Skiba, with whom she resided; and Loretta Williams, Henderson, Nev.; and nephew, Thomas Williams, Las Vegas, Nev. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Kasper. A viewing will be held June 26, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 pm with a blessing service at 4:00 pm in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann’s St., Scranton, PA 18504
