Eileen Brady

January 22, 1934 to December 23, 2023

Eileen Brady (Eileen), 89, of Roaring Brook Twp., passed away peacefully on Dec. 23, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Jan. 22, 1934, in Scranton, Eileen was the daughter of the late Mae (Murray) and Michael Dougherty. A graduate of the class of 1952, Eileen went on to build a fulfilling career at Emery World Wide and JCPenney. Eileen possessed a vibrant spirit and a deep love for travel. "A gypsy at heart," she was always ready to embark on new adventures, having explored Ireland, Italy, Russia, Greece, Israel and many more destinations. As the mother of six children - Maureen Fagan (James), Karen Brady, Diane Brady, Erin Pekurny (George), Jack Brady and Colleen Daniels (James) - Eileen found her greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. Her warm personality and uncanny ability to connect with everyone made her a true social butterfly. Eileen leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. Her grandchildren - Jimmy, Kelly and Casey Fagan, Lindsey and Kendra Pekurny, Jack Brady, and Brady and Riley Daniels - will forever cherish the memories of her entertaining stories, particularly those of "The Saint Ann Girls," her friends since the sandbox days. Eileen joins her beloved husband, John Brady, who passed away in 2011, and her cherished sister, Ann Marie O'Hara, in eternal peace. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Joann Redenski, for her loving care and friendship to our mom. We are also eternally grateful to Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Basilica. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. in the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St.

I've known Eileen my entire life. What a great gal with a bewitching personality. She was a good friend to my sister, Louise Butler and spent many hours in our house. She'll be missed. I know she's resting in the peace she deserves. Sally Bold-Frick, Pinehurst NC
