
Edward VanLouvender, 87, Moscow, passed away Friday at
Hospice of The Sacred Heart after an illness. Born September
12, 1938, in Spring Brook Township, PA, he was the son of the
late Edward Sr. and Emily Thomas VanLouvender. Ed retired
from Larimer & Norton, a division of Louisville Slugger, where
he was employed for 40 years as a mill manager and timber
buyer. He is also a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in
Germany for two years. Ed is survived by his wife of 58 years
Margaret Mary McCrea. He is survived by two sons, Craig
VanLouvender and wife Susan and Keith VanLouvender and
wife Jennifer. Ed was very proud of his three grandchildren:
Kirsten, Rachel, and Eli VanLouvender. He is also survived by a
sister, Joan Mellarkey and husband Jerry, of Hudson, FL, a
niece, great niece and great nephew as well as many cousins. In
addition to his parents he was pre deceased by an infant sister
Carol.
Ed was a life long Philadelphia Phillies fan, an avid gardener
and lived for the first day of deer season. He loved hunting with
his sons and his sons’ friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Thomas
M Muldowney in St. Catherine’s of Siena Parish, 220 Church
Street, Moscow PA at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 29. Interment
is private at the convenience of the family. All friends and
family that are attending the mass are asked to go directly to the
church. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Hospice of
the Sacred Heart
